ClickTracks Doubles Their Revenue

April 12th, 2006

MediaPost reports:

ANALYTICS FIRM CLICKTRACKS TUESDAY POSTED record sales for the first quarter of this year, reporting an 83 percent increase in revenue over the same period in 2005, and a 22 percent increase in revenue over the last quarter of last year. For the entire year, the company’s revenues grew 97 percent.

Fantastic results for ClickTracks, I wonder if this is true for the rest of the analytics space or if ClickTracks is an anomaly here.  I suspect ClickTracks may have grown at a faster rate than others, but I think that we’re still seeing so many new clients coming into the web analytics space there is room for many companies to achieve large growth rates.

I know analytics has a bright future, because it’s still ahead of the general adoption curve.  Just now are we really seeing the majority of websites employing search engine optimization effectively, which really is a step most people take before really diving into analytics.  So, we’re still probably a couple of years away from having mass adoption and successful use of analytics tools.  That’s a big opportunity.
