Yahoo Publisher Network Launches a Blog
April 10th, 2006
Jensense has the scoop and details on the new Yahoo Publisher Network Blog, YPNBlog.
First, I’m glad to see they are launching a blog because it’s obviously a great way to share information with publishers and the industry, and will no doubt help YPN gain adoption. They also look like they’re going to be very creative and open with the blog, including profiles of team members, allowing comments and trackbacks, and more.
However, I wonder why they didn’t do this from the start? I’m sure they had a lot of work to do, but it seems like they would be farther along had they been blogging from day one. In some ways it just feels like catchup to Google again, I’d like to see YPN differentiate itself from Adsense in some meaningful way. At least it seems like they’re making their blog different from Inside Adsense.
