Unlike Google, Yahoo gets a big part of their market share in search from the folks who use their other services. It&#039;s kind of the other way around at Google.

What an advertising company (like Yahoo) needs is inventory - Google&#039;s growth comes largely from increasing use of contextual ads. 

Again, Google&#039;s inventory grows differently from Yahoo&#039;s - Yahoo gains by increasing use of their portal services, Google has only recently, and badly, tried to develop their own content/inventory.</description>
