Google recently announced a new addition to their Google Trends tools called “Google Trends for Websites”. In short, you can now use Google Trends to see traffic estimates, related sites, and related searches for website URLs you enter into the tool by regions and over different time periods.

Zappos Pays New Employees To Quit

As this past year at Yahoo! has been my first year working for what I’d consider to be a large company, I’ve become more interested in strategies around running and operating companies efficiently. My past experiences have been with startups or small companies where a lot of the challenges that larger companies face don’t exist.

This recent article about a practice at where they pay new customer service employees $1,000 to quit after their first month of training caught my eye. They seem to be thinking it’s doing well so far in making sure the employees working for really want to be there and feel that they are a good fit for the company.

Top Twitter Usage Locations and Tweet Types

I was one of the early adopters of Twitter. I was at SXSW in March of 2007 when Twitter had its coming out party and was the hit and buzz of the conference. I quickly signed up, understood what it was used for, but really didn’t use it much as I didn’t have many personal contacts using it. I essentially completely stopped using it.
