If someone's that stupid to put there phone number/address on their site then thats different...but really what is it going to do? i absolutley LOVE myspace...i look forward to going home everyday and getting on. The schools block the sites so we cant ge on durring school which i guess i agree with, but other than that its not going to change the world. So i say lighten up have fun, myspace is a place for meeting new friends, not to be scared of it... im trying to put your points down im just trying to understand. So have a nice day.... Not scary as in "oooh, I don't know how I can ever understand those Internets". More scary as in "we can't answer the questions that a community of 100M or 250M people will create". And, agreed, MySpace isnt' at the level of importance where it deserves to be backed up for the sake of society. But, IF it exerts its own cultural effects on society as a whole, I think it would be worth looking. Just like taking yearly backups of Google and storing them somewhere is being considered by some smart folk already. I'm *not* trying to say that MySpace is bad, that it should be shut down or that it should be changed. Merely that when a community gets to a certain size, I'm wondering what that means for the web, for society and for that community.
