The Power of Good People

February 3, 2006 2:58 pm / Leave a Comment / Pat McCarthy

The New York trip was a success. One thing I took away from it is the value of expanding discussions to other groups of people. We’ve had great discussions in our local group for developing products, but after a period of time ideas and thoughts tend to recycle and get revisited often.

Expanding the discussion to a fresh set of thoughts and ideas opens up doors with our product that weren’t previously open. The takeaway lesson is that if you’re a freelancer who works alone, or if you’ve got an idea, don’t be afraid to talk to others and share it. You may be surprised at the good suggestions others may have that you just hadn’t considered.
