Here Comes the Government

Privacy watchdogs and tech writers have long been worried about Google having too much important data without knowing what Google plans to do with it. A lot of people responding to those fears basically said that Google won’t do anything bad with it.

I think what the privacy watchdogs really feared though, is the government coming after that data. Now it’s happening.

Luckily, Google plans to fight it to the end, as it violates their privacy policies and according to them, gives out trade secrets. I’m not a fan of child porn either, but the government is far overreaching their bounds on this one, and the industry as a whole should be fighting against it.
