Using Key Performance Indicators

Once you get comfortable with web analytics, it’s time to start using some key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure improvements on your site.
There are tons of KPIs you can use, and many are quite obvious, but a recent article in Clickz called “Four Actionable KPIs You Don’t Know About” goes over a few that people may not have considered that can have a big impact on your site.
The “Home-Page-Effectiveness Index” is one that most people would never dream up on their own, but it holds real power. People often design their home page to look nice and work how they think it should, and then they leave it at that. How effective is your site at leading people down the paths that meet your site goals?
Take a look at those KPIs and implement at least one this week.
