We’re building a new product at Right Media that is still waiting for a name, but right now it’s code name is “symple”. This product is going to be an ad management optimization solution for web publishers/bloggers. Basically, a way to make sure publishers are making the most money possible from each ad impression they give to ad networks, whether those networks are contextual, display, or behavioural.
We want to eliminate the painful and inefficient method of “daisy chaining” networks, and also make it extremely easy to test out mulitple ad network solutions on an ongoing basis. The product will have numerous other benefits to publishers, and as part of that process we’d like to get publishers involved in helping us create the best product possible.
On that note, we’ve created a blog for building of this product that will discuss features, ideas, and as we get further along will contain screenshots, invitations for testing, etc. Multiple Right Media employees may be creating posts, as well as taking part in the comments, but it’s open to anyone interested in advertising and web publishing to take part in the conversation. It’s a bit out of the ordinary to do a public blog for product development, but we don’t plan on this being an ordinary product either.
We also have a survey for web publishers that we’re inviting anyone to fill out to help us figure out and prioritize product benefits and features. Participation in that survey is greatly appreciated.
