I am inclined to believe this. I am not so sure that Mark will agree to give it up this year, though... I do think it's possible, but I think it might end up waiting a year or two. Not everyone is an Outlook user. - Reddit and DIgg are easy to copy, but userbases are valuable. del.icio.us is a prime example. There are other social bookmarking services, many of which have more features and technology, it was the userbase, community, and reputation that made it the one that got acquired. First and foremost, facebook does not allow for embedded video players on their site. Only myspace, friendster, and ebay allow users to do this. Now onto RSS aggregators. I want to see the lay of the land when the new Outlook with RSS integration is released. These RSS Aggregators will definitely feel the pain and RSS will be commoditized to a point that many of these sites will no longer be attractive. Reddit and DIGG are cool websites.
