The Link Building Blog reports on the Best of the Web Blog Directory.
You know it’s a good suggestion since Andy Hagans usually doesn’t suggest actual sites for link submissions.
I briefly talked to some of the BOTW crew at WebmasterWorld’s Pubcon 10 in Las Vegas, and they do seem to really care about building a quality directory.
In one way it seems like a flawed business model at this point, who really wants to browse a directory these days? Yet it’s also quaint, and I think DMOZ and Yahoo have essentially given up any stronghold they had on being the top directories. But is being the top directory even worth anything? Maybe BOTW can get there and make something of it.
I will say I like that they list the RSS/Atom feeds of the blogs next to their links in the directory. It makes it very quick to find a category and add some quality blog feeds all at once.
